He is involved in developing new go-to-market sales strategies, product development and sales leadership that focuses on the needs of the client delivering a positive ROI for DMNmedia customers.
Michael joined DMNmedia in January of 2009. He brings 22 years of newspaper, commercial printing, direct marketing and digital experience to the team.
Prior to joining DMNmedia, Michael was the president and owner of two startup companies. One company focused on marketing for the financial industry, which included Citibank, Chase and U.S. Bank. The other company was an advertising agency that provided marketing consultation to newspapers and businesses offering mobile, digital, direct marketing and commercial printing solutions. Since Michael has owned his own businesses, he coaches and leads his sales teams to be entrepreneurial and focus on the needs of their clients.
Other prior experience includes director of recruitment advertising for the Denver Newspaper Agency, publisher of The Denver Post and Rocky Mountain News owned by Media News Group and Scripps. He earned Director of the Year in both 2004 and 2005. In 2005, Michael was appointed to the executive leadership team that developed Yourhub.com for the Denver metro area focusing on community journalism. He also served 11 years with Lee Enterprises in various leadership roles. Michael was the classified and direct marketing manager for the Lincoln Journal Star, senior marketing director for Broadway Marketing Works, the in-house advertising agency for the Billings Gazette and a direct marketing specialist for the Billings Gazette.
