Alison serves as President of CrowdSource; an independent business division created by The Dallas Morning News to meet the operational, marketing and promotional needs of event organizers and live-event producers in categories ranging from education and information to entertainment and sports.
Prior to her return to The Dallas Morning News in 2012, Alison served as publisher of the Chicago Reader, as well as vice president/chief sales officer/group publisher for its holding company, CL Inc., a chain of alternative weeklies, with sister titles in Atlanta, Tampa, and Washington, DC.
Draper’s previous experience includes three years with The Dallas Morning News from 2006-2009 as publisher of a quick-read daily paper, and as senior director of local advertising – Arts & Entertainment. She also served five years as publisher of Dallas Observer, and 15 years in sales and senior management positions at New Times Media.
Alison is married to husband, Robert and has three daughters.
